It sounds like the amended NOA does not include any new charged offenses, but strengthens language about "lack of compliance and cooperation."
Again, a step in the wrong direction for UM.
Almost 100% sure this specific drip came from... another involved party.

Someone jumped the shark.
Enforcement staff was pretty upfront throughout discussions that an extension was unlikely to be granted. However, UM raised an issue whose significance to their reply was "marginal," but not zero, so it was granted. Enforcement has gone above and beyond to run this thing 100% by the book as to curtail any appeals down the road, which is why it appears this went the way it went.
Chippewas coming in on our side of this one.
PhillyNut mentioned the Detroit Free Press expressed exasperation at not being able to report more in-depth on the scandal, noting that the general public has "no idea the efforts they (DFP) have made to get info from the university, from the NCAA, etc and how tight lipped everyone is on it."
