I was thinking about this - forget our own fans, the National media piled on Ryan Day and said he should be fired for losing 4 straight years to Michigan.
- He is the winningest active coach in football.
- He has exactly 1 loss to an unranked team in his entire tenure.
- Other than UM, he has only lost 1 league game.
Any other coach would be revered - heck, Kirby Smart is 1-7 vs Alabama and nobody says a word - why? Because people respect Bama and know they are always good.
Everyone is piling on Day because IT IS EMBARRASSING to lose to Michigan 4 years in a row...because they are not that great - especially this year...and next! Last year they were good - stacked from Covid and running fumes of confidence from cheating.
Losing to them sucks, but the reason Non Buckeye thinks Day should be gone is because Michigan is inferior....which is a fair and accurate point! On no planet should we lose to them 4 years in a row...because we are the better brand and the better program.
Michigan won the Natty last year - their first Non-shared (not split) championship in over 70 years! Imagine living that....
Still sucks we lost, but something to ponder....
