Am I looking at this wrong, or shouldn't players taking NIL money "play the entire season?" Unless I'm wrong, the $ these athletes are getting isn't on a per game basis( it's for the team/season) and we still have many players opting out of the bowl games to "get ready for the draft" I know players rest at the next level and we will see many Chiefs rest next week because they have clinched, but that's because they have the playoffs next week and their owner/coach has OK'ed it. College players don't need to rest for another game (and I get the injury concern) because this is their last game. I'll be interested to see how contracts change any of this in the future and if players might be forced to give a prorated portion of the $$$ back because they didn't fulfill their end of the deal. It seems they can do whatever they want because it's the wild west out there right now.
Also, I'm OK with players getting their money, but maybe there needs to be a consequence if you sit......to get around this, some players will just magically get hurt. Not sure what the answer is and wanted some other thoughts.
