Dzingel signed his Entry Level Contract with the Ottawa Senators, and is therefore ineligible to play college hockey. He'll probably play 1-2 years in the AHL before making the jump to the NHL. I don't necessarily agree with this move, but Dzingel did have a stellar year, but he would have benefitted from an extra year of college hockey, especially to work on his defensive game which he has vastly improved, as well as to make a push for the NCAA tournament. I doubt Ottawa plays him in any games late in the season, even if they're out of the playoffs, as that would burn a year off of his contract, so he's probably headed to Binghamton, Ottawa's AHL affiliate. Best of luck to Ryan, this is a huge loss for Ohio State hockey.
