Ohio State women's basketball great Katie Smith has been named a finalist for this years Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Class.

Players must be three years removed from their final playing season, which helps explain why Smith is not in the Hall of Fame already, according to Lori Schmidt.

The class will be announced on Feb. 12, and Smith will almost certainly get the nod.
