After trouncing Rutgers 82-57 in Friday's quarterfinal game, the Ohio State women's hoops team will take on No. 4 Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
The Gophers topped No. 5 seeded Iowa in a 90-89 nail-biter. Iowa's Megan Gustafson, the nation's leading scorer, had a Big Ten Tournament record 48 points, but it wasn't enough. Minnesota's Carlie Wagner and Kenisha Bell combined for 53 points to lead the Gophers to victory.
The semifinal matchup will be a battle of two high-powered offenses. Ohio State has the nation's No. 3 scoring offense, averaging 85.3 points per game, while the Gophers have the No. 5 scoring offense, averaging 84.9 points per game.
When the Buckeyes faced Minnesota during the regular season, Ohio State won 91-75. A win this time would send the Buckeyes to Sunday's Big Ten Championship game.
