That about wraps it up.  Barring some sort of stunning decision by the committee, Ohio State's loss tonight is the end of the 2018 season.  Fittingly, offensive inefficiency spelled the end of this frequently frustrating season.

Ohio State outshot Hopkins 37 to 17, and won 11 of 14 faceoffs, but still managed to only score 5 goals.  The Achilles heel of this team has been its offense, and tonight was no different.

Colin Chell and Jack Jasinski combined for 1 goal on 11 shots.  That's not good.  These two were one of the keys to the game, and they came up short.   No two ways about it.

Tre Leclaire had a goal and an assist, and Jackson Reid made his mark with a pair of tallies.  But it was all for naught.

An interesting trend this season has been the budding hatred between OSU and the Maryland teams.  Against the Terps and Jays, Ohio State found itself in a few skirmishes.

A large part of that is due to the massive Maryland contingent on OSU's roster.  And there are only more Maryland players to come.  These battles will be more and more heated.

A full postmortem of the season will be coming soon.  Thanks for following along on the roller coaster that was the 2018 season.

Go Bucks!
