Ohio State was outclassed in every facet of the game, looked like a good high school team, and was utterly helpless to do much of anything all day. The Buckeyes were lambasted outside of the opening 5 minutes of today's game.
Jack Myers had a pedestrian 4 point day, Ed Shean finally came down to earth by only converting 25% of his shots, and the defense was MIA yet again.
The team, down a reasonable 3 goals at halftime, laid down completely in the third quarter as Hopkins scored 7 unanswered goals to make the margin 10 going into Q4. This isn't even a team anymore.
I don't know what else to say. There's nothing to hope for this year. There's no getting better. No development. No pride. In any other sport, the coach would be let go. But for whatever reason, Myers is apparently unable to be fired. Even if he should have had to walk home after this debacle.
Excuses have to be exhausted at this point. There's no way you can look at the season and say the program has improved since Myers arrived. I don't care if you leave out 2017. There's absolutely no progress. It's time. We need a change. Let's see if the admin has the guts or sense to do it.
It's Hate Week. Better plan on landscaping all day next week. Because it won't be a pleasant experience.
Go Bucks.
