From the OSU Athletic website:
In men's saber, first-year Buckeye Luca Fioretto dropped just two of his 15 bouts and stands in third place, with a +27 indicator.
In men's epee, Paul Veltrup ended day one in seventh place, as he was 10-5 (+12). The 2023 national runner-up is making his second NCAA appearance. Miles Weiss, in his first NCAA trip, posted nine victories (+4) through the first three rounds and is in 10th place.
In men's foil, Edriss Ndiaye, who is making a third straight NCAA appearance, won eight bouts (+2) and is in 11th place. Justin Vogler, in his first day at the national championships, is in 19th place after winning six bouts.
Rounds 4 and 5 are currently underway. Veltrup and Ndiaye are currently 3-1. Fioretto is going to have to pick up the pace if he's going to make the finals. He's 2-2.
OSU Men's and Women's teams currently sit 6th overall.
