The 73rd-rated prospect in the class of 2023 and No. 2 recruit in Ohio will choose between his hometown Buckeyes, Michigan State and Alabama. Listed at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, Royal is the No. 14 small forward in the country, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Royal has long been a top target for Chris Holtmann and the Ohio State coaching staff, which has already locked down two commits in the cycle with four-star prospects George Washington III – an AAU teammate of Royal's – and Austin Parks.
