While the recent past of Ohio State sharpshooting in Jamison Battle is competing in the State Farm College 3-Point Championship at Grand Canyon University on April 4, its future will be doing the same at the high school level.
Incoming Buckeye guard Juni Mobley is set to compete at the High School Rockin' Protein Men's 3-Point Shootout on Sunday.
Mobley, a four-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings, is considered the nation's No. 50 overall prospect and No. 5 combo guard. He chose Ohio State over offers from Creighton, Arizona State, LSU, UCLA and St. John's, among others.
Mobley earned MaxPreps Player of the Year in the state of Utah for his performance in 2023-24, scoring 21.5 points, dishing out 5.4 assists and swiping two steals per game. Wasatch Academy went 17-7 against some of the best schools around the country with Mobley in tow, as the Tigers took on famed juggernauts like Montverde, IMG Academy and Long Island Lutheran.
CBS will air the High School 3-Point Shootout at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The winner of the men's contest will face the winner of the women's contest in the Skechers Battle of the Champions afterward.
