Over the last few seasons many 11W commenters have expressed their exasperation over the play of OSU hoops players from the Transfer Portal. 

Here's a bit of wisdom from Yahoo Sports regarding Portal guys (and in this case Kansas coach Bill Self):

an NIL war chest doesn’t guarantee success in modern college basketball. You need NIL money to acquire talent, but you have to deploy those funds wisely and assemble a roster that fits together.

So Ohio State is not alone in this. Seems it takes a good eye or two from a coaching staff to "Portal recruit" well.

One hopes Diebler & staff do well recruiting for next year's team. {Please let there be a well-rounded 7-footer or two!)
