I need the help of any Buckeye historians out there. I've been working on a collection of mini helmets, encompassing the history of Buckeye helmets. I've got 9 variations so far, but I'm stuck in the 50s. From what I've been able to find, from '49-'53, the Bucks wore a white helmet with a scarlet stripe. In '60-'61, they wore a white helmet with a scarlet leather pad down the center, and from '62-'65 they switched to a gray helmet. But from '54-'59, some sites have the Bucks wearing white helmets, and some sites have them wearing gray. Which is it? All pictures are black and white, and I've found colorized photos that contradict each other. This information has to be somewhere, right?
