I realize I could be biased as a Buckeye fan but it seems to me that there is a concerted effort by those in the media and elsewhere to make TTUN relevant again. (I have often thought that the “powers that be” also wanted PSU relevancy after so many years when they too were among the elite in college football but many were not happy with the near death blow from the Sandusky fallout).

Now we have the AP making Hairball coach of the year. We have a TTUN Heisman 2nd place finisher who isn’t near the caliber of either Joey or Nick Bosa. Everywhere I turn there is some media talking head praising a TTUN turnaround after one big win.

I am almost certain this recent acclaim will make an impact in recruiting when many higher caliber athletes who that thought TTUN was a loser program, will now consider them to be an “up and coming” one.

And it wouldn’t surprise me if doesn’t turn a few heads of officiating crews giving TTUN benefit of calls on the field in the future.

It is a little paranoia on my part? What are your thoughts?
