Joe Burrow threw 48 TDs in his 13 games before lifting the bronze in New York. He threw 12 more in the next two games setting the single season passing TD record at 60. Billy Zappe of Western Kentucky threw for 62 total (current FBS record) last season while Bryce Young threw 47 and CJ threw 44 (playing in three less games than Bryce). Dwayne Haskins, who CJ has dedicated this season to, threw for 50 TDs in 14 games in 2018.

Throwing 24 TDs in 6 games, CJ is on track to pass Joe's pre-heisman numbers and tie his full season total. This is all while Ohio State has had it's best WR out and has been committed to establishing a ground game.
