Ryan Day said before the season that he wanted a top 10 defense. Jim Knowles later said that he wished Day had said top 5. I know we haven't played any world-beating offenses, but we are currently ranked 7 in the nation in total defense.

I think it's been quite the turnaround from last season, so credit to Knowles for the progress thus far. Things aren't perfect, but we have a lot to be grateful for. Here's to hoping we can keep up the good work down the stretch.
