Whether it was his excuses against Notre Dame to start the year, or against Northwestern, or Maryland there's always an excuse.

Here are a few thoughts:

  1. Most people who have watched this team all year have had a hard time identifying if we were elite because they've underperformed on the OL and at times in the passing game
  2. Ryan for questioned for not being tough and consequently ran a ton -too much in my opinion- of 11 and 12 personnel, almost to prove a point
  3. Somehow, at DBU, the defensive backfield became the weakness. It's easy to blame Knowles and there were some critical calls in the game but define errors generated 21 points
  4. The 14 points on big runs were a product of the defense being forced to press because the offense wasn't scoring. Put those 14 on Day and Stroud
  5. This team is incredibly undisciplined. Whether it's false start leaving Dawand Jones, Scott's stupid personal foul penalty, Stroud's stupid personal foul, or the DBs getting PI for not finding the ball they're beating themselves
  6. Day's playcalling has been bad all year... No exception here. Why are we throwing a slant to Fleming on the right when Harrison is 1-on-1 to the boundary? Why are we running on first and 35? Why was Harrison often split 30 yards from the ball to the wide side? We took him out of the game, not Michigan
  7. Stroud lost the Heisman today because of poor decision making and poor playcalling
  8. He's too conservative which shows lack of confidence in his players

Day needs to stop making excuses and sack up. Had he made better decisions in the first half we're not putting pressure on Knowles and the D in the second.
