We were celebrating the anniversary of the celebration of my Dad's life and he was such a big OSU fan. This topic came up as we told stories.
2012 Michigan. It was my Dad and I's first Michigan game in person. It capped off the undefeated season for Urban in his first year, and they honored Tress, and the 2002 team at halftime. It was Tress first time back in the Shoe, and the team put him on their shoulders. It was kind of a nice closure moment for him and the fans, and it kind of symbolized a thank you for all you have done, but also we are so excited about the future with Urban. Also, it just felt great to be back on top of winning the rivalry.
2014 Championship. Just the whole run was so special and unexpected. The fact that I got to share that with my dad before he passed was insane. I was deployed but was able to watch and was able to call him, he cried, I cried, and it was such a special moment.
2011 Wisconsin. Upset win, in a weird throwaway year. Braxton to Smith end zone bomb to take the lead was the loudest moment we ever heard in the Shoe. I think we both got concussions from just standing there lol. It was also special because it was such a big win for Fick, and Braxton.
Thanks to anyone willing to contribute their memories, my Dad would love and appreciate being able to reminisce with all of you.
