I'm watching the last 3 games on Hicks, and it's clear to me that he isn't lighting it up as a read and react linebacker. However, I can't shake the feeling that the should be used as a Baron Browning (NFL version). 

Hicks is very athletic and fast and I think he is better suited as a standup edge guy. Browning, Parsons, Will Anderson types wreck havoc on defenses and for some reason it seems like we don't like to use them. 

Is this a Larry Johnson issue or a Linebacker coach issue? I'm kinda leaning towards Larry Johnson because he wants "traditional" DE's on the edge, but I'm just speculating.
