I will not beat the dead horse of recruiting, but I'd like to point out what seems to be a running theme of this OL that should no longer receive the benefit of the doubt: Depth chart evaluation.

Day said today he was not sure if Donovan Jackson would be staying on left tackle.

So, let's get this straight. We have a left tackle go down, and we insert a relatively inexperienced starter who hasn't received much buzz in four years. Day has 2 weeks to prepare for this game....Do we not have a backup plan if he isn't very good? 

Zen was not good. The injury finally forced Day's hand, and unsurprisingly, everyone looks at each other and appears confused in the face of the slightest adversary. Kelly/Day immediately call a highly conservative play to prepare for a punt. That's unacceptable for a veteran squad at this time.

These are 3rd-5th year players on the two deep. This is the end of October. This staff always want to play 5D chess with the OL depth chart rather than clarity and having high quality reps with simple lineup possibilities.
