I've been an Ohio State fan since 1968 at 15 yrs old growing up in Youngstown. I've lived every minute I could with the Buckeyes through the 70s ( I loved Woody till the end) , the 80s, and the end of season dreadful 90s. I was beyond thrilled when Jim Tressel was named the HC in 2001. An Ohio man a winner, a YSU guy. A beautiful 2002 season of perfection. Like many of you I was very sad to see the man forced out of the job he loved. 2011 was a flex transitional season much like 2000-01. Luke was sorta dealt a bill of goods in flux and a bad drug deal made to the ncaa that burnt a hole in a perfect season in 2012 in Urban Meyers 1st year. Rolled with Urban all the way till the end there as well just like many of you have and lived that memorable 2014 run. Which brings me to now. As I know the landscape has changed. There's good old NIL, the transfer portal, League realignment, and kiss their ass promise them the moon and stars recruiting. I get it. I cannot help but having that 2000, 2011, plus this feeling again where issues keep popping up and and this current staff is just playing wack a mole and they are not gonna figure it out. Trust me folks I wanna be wrong as hell on this. I just see a pattern here. If this Saturday thus group of talented Buckeyes win this game I will know the direction is back on track. If not I will know they are not.
