How do we view Justin Frye right now? The Oline has gone through multiple reshuffles due to injuries and for the most part has held together fairly well each time (minus the Nebraska game which I was present for and nearly had a stroke). I was firmly in the fire category due to his inability to recruit and developing talent looked like a struggle.
However the last couple games it's hard to deny that the Oline has been pretty good vs talented Dlines. They have given up 2 sacks in 5 games, and the run game has finally caught speed these past couple games (credit that to actually throwing the ball to open the run or whatever you want). I guess the question is more what do we THINK Ryan Day and the athletics dept will do, does the recent success of the Oline wash away the historically bad performances of our Oline?
P.S. I do want to mention the amount of injuries which required restructuring is a lot for ANY school to navigate, but this is simply a room temp check on how we view it, and how we think it will pan out.
