Since the twitter GMs continue to doubt the guy who built the Chiefs and has picked arguable front runners for DPOY and OROY are back at it again with bashing Dorsey, let's break down why this trade was best for Hyde and the browns.
-Hyde was brought in for stability, Dorsey said this in an interview when asked about him a few days after signing
-Hyde was brought to usher in their future RB aka Nick Chubb, you don't spend that early of a draft pick on a RB just to have him ride the bench
-Hyde is 28 and has an extensive injury history, Browns are the youngest team in the NFL, they want the core to grow with each other, Hyde will be too old and broken down by the time Browns are ready to start making playoff runs
-Nick Chubb is simply more talented than Hyde is
-Browns got a mid round pick
-Hyde gets to play on a dark horse contender to end his career instead of trying to be part of a rebuild
Great trade for all parties involved. PFF_CLE thinks so too.
