An interesting situation has arisen. The head coach of an online charter school named Bishop Sycamore has lied to ESPN about being better than they actually are, in order to get national television time against the IMG Academy.

This was briefly discussed on the 2023 thread, but I find this situation so fascinating that I believe it deserves a thread of its own, and the fact that this does not pertain to Ohio State recruiting at all helps my case.

Bishop Sycamore is not an accurate representation of Ohio High School Football. This also shows the failure of the ESPN recruiting system. Only one player from Bishop Sycamore has been listed in ESPN’s Ohio rankings, a three star named Adrian Brown, and he was added to the database on August 23. Bishop Sycamore apparently told ESPN that they had more than one D-1 player, and ESPN was too lazy to check. Rivals also has this player at the wrong high school.
