Daniel jeremiah released his third mock draft following free agency. If you dont know DJ he is a former NFL scout who both watches film himself and talks to people he knows with teams to form his mock drafts.
Picks of note:
- #1 Jaguars- DE Aidan Hutchinson-He had a nearly perfect combine and the Jaguars beefed up their OL to pave way for adding Hutchinson. He is an easy choice at #1.
- #2 Lions-DL Travon Walker- Surprisingly being picked ahead of Thibadeux but Walker is much bigger, versatile, and a better athlete. Thibadeux has a lot more concerns than many would think.
- #4 Jets- CB Sauce Gardner- The highest I have seen him picked. At 6'2" he had a ridiculous combine and a nearly perfect college career. He is an elite corner in every way.
- #6 Panthers- OT Evan Neal-This is the latest I have seen him drafted and he is after Icky Ekwonu.
- #8 Falcons- WR Garrett Wilson-After he proved how fast he was he is probably a lock for WR1. Justin Jefferson clone is a really good comparison. The Falcons have a terrible roster and could now rely on Wilson on offense.
- #11 Commanders- S Kyle Hamilton-This is latest I have seen him drafted but he is really good prospect at a low value position that could knock him down some.
- #20 Steelers- CB Dereck Stingley- Elite athlete who is a lot of things. But he is not good at playing football. How early do you draft a player who doesnt care about football and isnt good based on freshman film.
- #22 Packers- WR Chris Olave-Packers use the Raiders first rounder to replace Devante Adams. Would be a fantastic fit.
- #31 Bengals- C Tyler Linderbaum-Bengals would love to go defense but a perfect fit falls into their laps. Linderbaum fits into a zone blocking scheme and adds an elite athlete to a revamped OL. Ted karras slides over to LG and this OL is off and running.
