Six years ago today the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship beating the golden state warriors in Game 7 on the road in California. Many of the odds makers didn't give them a chance as the warriors were loaded and they thought that Cleveland was just happy to be there.
After being down 3 games to 1 - all was lost and over in Game 4 until draymond decided to take a swipe at LeBron's junk and eventually received another technical and did not play in Game 5 where Cleveland took care of business in the bay area.
Cleveland eventually evened the series up with a win in game 6 on their home court and game seven was set to crown a champion. Below is the video of the final 3:39 of the game when Cleveland decided they weren't going to be denied.
This by far is one of the top ten days best days of my life primarily because of so many extenuating circumstances.
1. Game 7 NBA Championship
2. After so much heartbreak for Cleveland sports fans, we finally had a chance to be the King of the Mountain.
3. This game was played on Fathers Day
4. I was actually in Cleveland at my parents home at the time this game was played
5. My older brother was there from Sydney, Australia and my sister was there from Baltimore.
Finally - I must've stayed up til 3:00 AM catching all of the post game pressers and reaction on NBA TV. I hope you have a fantastic memory of this game.
~~~~ Side Note ~~~~ If you don't like the NBA or have plans to come in here and hate on people that like it - please keep your opinion to yourself.
