Tomorrow night, for the Penn State game, we'll have an open thread in the forum for each quarter of the game. So you'll have a 1st quarter open thread, a 2nd quarter open thread, and so on.

Please use these threads to comment on the game – and of course, you're always welcome to comment on front page articles that will be published during the game.

In conjunction with this, we're going to disable forum topic creation for all but moderators and staff members during the game. This will funnel all conversation into the appropriate threads, while ensuring we don't have random WHY CAN'T [PLAYER] CATCH? and other kind of useless things popping up.

Following the game – and assuming Ohio State performs well – we'll turn the ability to create forum topics back on for everyone. If things go well this weekend, we'll look to leave the ability to create new threads on for all future games. In the meantime, please check out Hove's excellent tutorial on how to create forum topics like a boss.
