Nate and Alex here. When we are not fetching coffee, making copies, cleaning the toilets, or feeding D.J.'s cats we work on a variety of different projects for Eleven Warriors.
As your 2016 11W Summer Marketing Interns we will be providing updates on our projects for the community on a weekly basis each Sunday throughout the summer. Our work will focus largely on product improvement, customer engagement and personal growth. Comments, questions and some damn respect for once are appreciated.
For week four we took a look into the university’s clubs to see if there is any way we could make the campus smaller for Eleven Warriors. With over 1,200 student organizations there are many to pick from and a few different ways to attack this task.
There are a few clubs that immediately piqued our interest. Obviously, sports clubs are a great place to start. Partnering with the club sports teams in various aspects might help us grow Eleven Warriors. There are around 60 club sports teams and many of them actually compete with varsity programs from other colleges. We’d be interested in reaching out to the presidents of some of these clubs to see what their interest level is on partnering with us to provide some more #content for the site.
Moving away for the sports we looked at clubs that have a large impact. Speaking to certain organizations such as Business Builders Club, might help foster relationships and further embed Eleven Warriors in the community. Partnering with Block O would certainly be ideal, as their game day presence, for a club, is second to none on campus. Events with fraternities and sororities could be a great way to not only help spread Eleven Warrior’s name, but also be philanthropic. This goes for BuckeyeThon as well. There is value to be gained from having Eleven Warriors speakers visit a few of the identified, important clubs. If all else fails we could just start an Eleven Warriors fan club for students, maybe then we will get a break from answering DJ’s fan mail.
As always comments are appreciated. Go Bucks.
