Fittingly on the anniversary of 9/11 and with the Buckeyes meeting Army for the first time this Saturday, the Ohio State athletic department announced a new deal with Vet Tix.

Vet Tix is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free tickets to sporting events, concerts and more to active service members, veterans and military families.

Where does Buckeye Nation come into this, you ask?

Starting immediately for the rest of the 2017-2018 athletic season onward, Ohio State season ticket holders can donate any of their tickets to Vet Tix, from any sport and any event they have tickets to.

All 34 varsity sports are eligible. Tickets are able to be donated directly online through the Ohio State season ticket holder account.

They'll go directly to someone serving our country, a veteran who has served, their families or the families of someone who has given the ultimate sacrifice in dying for our country.

Since starting in 2008, Vet Tix has provided more than 3.2 million tickets to veterans of the United States armed forces.
