President Donald Trump issued a wave of nominations Friday for the Council on Sports, Nutrition and Fitness. The organization was founded in 1960 and encourages Americans to live a healthy lifestyle that balances physical activity and good nutrition.
Former New York Yankees closers Mariano Rivera, former NFL running back Herschel Walker, and three-time beach volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor will co-chair the council.
Olympic gold medalist and former Ohio State heavyweight wrestler Kyle Snyder will be on the committee.
