Ohio State's 77-67 win over Penn State on Wednesday improved the Buckeyes to 22-8 this season and 11-6 in the Big Ten.
More importantly, however, it was the 297th win for Thad Matta as Ohio State's head coach. That mark ties him with Fred Taylor for the most in school history.
Matta, who is in his 11th season leading the Buckeyes, is now 297-91 in Columbus. He has a chance to break the record Sunday when Ohio State welcomes No. 6 Wisconsin to the Schottenstein Center for the final game of the regular season.
The Buckeyes will host the Badgers on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
Ohio State assistant coach Jeff Boals took to Twitter following Wednesday's win.
