Last year, OSU legend Aaron Craft went undrafted before a bid in the NBA Summer League earned him a spot in the D-League for the Santa Cruz Warriors. (The Santa Cruz Warriors, like their parent club in Oakland, were eventually crowned champions.)

It's unknown yet if Craft will catch on in the NBA, but Shannon Scott and Sam Thompson will both have to trek a similar route to get to the Association. They took their first steps on that journey last night.

Sam Thompson is off to play for the Philadelphia 76ers' Summer League team.

The 76ers current guard lineup is basically a trash can and Lil Ceasars Hot N Ready, so Slam will get an honest crack at the NBA roster.

Shannon Scott, like Deshaun Thomas before him, will play in the Summer League for the venerable San Antonio Spurs:

If three players — don't forget about D'Angelo Russell to the Lakers — from the 2014-15 basketball team end up on an NBA Roster... well, that season will become even more frustrating/baffling.

Best of luck to the trio at the next level.
