Potter sprained his ankle in an 80-55 win over Northeastern on Sunday after scoring just two points in 13 minutes of action. Potter started the first four games of the season for the Buckeyes, and poured in a season-high 17 in a win over Texas Southern.
In Potter's place, freshman Kaleb Wesson is set to start his first game as a Buckeye. Wesson is averaging 11.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in three games off the bench. Wesson sat out Ohio State's win over Texas Southern due to a suspension.
Ohio State is set to tip against No. 17 ranked Gonzaga within the hour in Portland, Ore. in the final game of the first round of the PK80 Invitational.
