After finishing the regular season with a 24-7, 15-3 record, Ohio State has earned the No. 2 seed and a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament.

The Buckeyes had a chance to earn the top spot entering Sunday, needing a Michigan State loss in order to claim the No. 1 seed. However Michigan State's 68-63 victory over Wisconsin gave the Spartans the outright Big Ten regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.

Ohio State will open play in the tournament on Friday at 6:30 p.m. from Madison Square Garden, and will take on the winner of the No. 7 Penn State vs. No. 10 seed Northwestern matchup on BTN. The Nittany Lions had an opportunity to clinch the No. 6 seed on Sunday, however they dropped a 76-64 contest to Nebraska, pushing them into the No. 7 spot. The Nittany Lions and Wildcats are set to tip at 6:30 on Thursday night on BTN.

The No. 2 seed is the highest positioning Ohio State has earned in the conference tournament since the 2012-13 season when the Buckeyes last won the tournament, also as the No. 2 seed.
