Bates-Diop is among the 69 players who have been invited to this year's event, according to Yahoo! Sports' Shams Charania, who obtained this year's full list of combine invites – as sent to all 30 NBA teams – on Friday afternoon.
KBD is one of eight Big Ten players invited to participate in this year's event, along with Michigan State's Miles Bridges and Jaren Jackson Jr., Michigan's Moritz Wagner, Penn State's Tony Carr and Maryland's Bruno Fernando, Kevin Huerter and Justin Jackson.
This year's combine will take place from May 16-20 in Chicago, a little over one month prior to the 2018 NBA Draft, which will be held June 21 at the Barclays Center in New York.
