The Carton File

- POS: PG

The trio of Carton, Gaffney and Liddell make up the eighth-ranked 2019 recruiting class in the country and the top-ranked class in the Big Ten. Carton, the No. 24 overall prospect and the top-ranked point guard is his class, is the top prospect in Ohio State's class.
The Bettendorf, Iowa, prospect committed to Ohio State on July 14, becoming the second prospect committed. He was originally offered a scholarship by the Buckeyes on Dec. 19, 2017.
Carton will join a backcourt with Luther Muhammad, Duane Washington Jr., Florida State transfer C.J. Walker and Musa Jallow. He and Walker are expected to take the bulk of minutes as point guards, but as Holtmann has shown this season, he's more than happy to play three or four guards at a time.
