The future is looking bright for Buckeye basketball.
All three Buckeyes hoops signees – D.J. Carton, Alonzo Gaffney and E.J. Liddell – cracked the top-36 of ESPN's latest recruiting rankings. Ohio State is the only school with three top-36 prospects signed or committed.
Carton is the highest-rated player of the bunch, rated as a five-star prospect and the No. 26 player in the class. He's also the nation's No. 5 point guard.
Gaffney is Ohio State's second highest-rated signee, checking in at No. 35. The four-star prospect is the No. 7 small forward in the class. Not far behind Gaffney is Liddell at No. 36. A four-star prospect, Liddell is the nation's No. 8 power forward.
All three were named McDonald's All-American candidates. The final rosters for the McDonald's All-American game will be announced on Thursday.
