Due to a second loss in a row, Ohio State has fallen out of the top 10.

The Buckeyes (11-3, 1-2 Big Ten) dropped from No. 5 to No. 11 in the latest edition of the Associated Press top-25 poll that was released Monday afternoon. After moving all the way up to No. 2 in December, two straight losses have led to their ranking to fall two weeks in a row.

In order to ensure that losing streak doesn't extend to three games, Ohio State will have to go on the road beat No. 12 Maryland on Tuesday night. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in College Park, Maryland.

The Terrapins and Buckeyes are joined in the top 25 by three other Big Ten teams: No. 8 Michigan State, No. 19 Michigan and No. 20 Penn State. Iowa received the most votes of any unranked team, and Wisconsin also earned a few votes.

Two out-of-conference teams that Ohio State beat – No. 14 Kentucky and No. 16 Villanova – are in the top 25. West Virginia, which topped the Buckeyes, is ranked 17th.
