Finally.
A week before tipping off the season, Ohio State revealed its 2020-21 men's basketball schedule. Unlike a usual 31-game regular season, NCAA rules mandating fewer games mean it has set up six non-conference games and will participate in a 20-game conference season.
The Buckeyes will open the season at home against Illinois State on Nov. 25. The game will tip off at 2 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN2 or ESPNU. The rest of the non-conference slate begins home contests with UMass-Lowell (Nov. 29, 4 p.m., BTN), Morehead State (Dec. 2, 5 p.m., BTN) and Alabama A&M (Dec. 5, TBD, BTN or BTN+). It also features a trip to South Bend, Indiana, to face Notre Dame in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 8 and a matchup with North Carolina in Cleveland on Dec. 19.
Ohio State will open conference play at Purdue on Dec. 16 and conclude it with a home game versus Illinois on March 6.
