Ohio State's revamped 2021-22 roster is still feeling itself out, but the new season is coming full speed ahead nonetheless.

The Buckeyes take on Indianapolis at home on Monday evening, and Chris Holtmann opened up on what he wants to see from his team in the exhibition Friday.

"We're playing a really good Division II team, so I think there's no doubt there's gonna be some challenges. So an effort and commitment on the defensive end," Holtmann said. "And then a willingness to play together on the offensive end and share the ball. I think we're a work in progress on both sides of the ball, but particularly on the offensive end. So those are the things you're looking for this early in the season when they put the uniform on for the first time."

Holtmann also provided some injury updates, revealing that senior captain Kyle Young will be out indefinitely with a vestibular dysfunction, and pulled back the curtain on what happened in Ohio State's recent closed scrimmage against Ole Miss.

Justin Ahrens and Justice Sueing both stepped up to the podium as well on Friday, discussing what it was like to be named team captains ahead of the season, and what to expect from the Buckeyes in Monday's exhibition. Check out everything they had to say below.
