2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
For the second straight season, Ohio State has a first-team All-Big Ten performer.
Junior forward E.J. Liddell was honored as such by both the conference coaches and media Tuesday, joining Iowa forward Keegan Murray, Illinois center Kofi Cockburn, Wisconsin guard Johnny Davis and Purdue guard Jaden Ivey. Cockburn, Murray and Davis were unanimous selection by the coaches, while Murray and Cockburn were selected unanimously by the media.
Liddell was also named to the conference's All-Defensive team alongside Illinois' Trent Frazier, Indiana's Trayce Jackson-Davis, Rutgers' Caleb McConnell and Purdue's Eric Hunter Jr.
As a sophomore in 2020-21, Liddell was named a first-team honoree by the conference coaches and made the second team on the media ballot. Liddell was the first Buckeye to receive first-team All-Big Ten recognition since Keita Bates-Diop in 2017-18.
Liddell leads the Buckeyes with averages of 19.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, fourth and seventh-best in the conference, respectively, as the only Ohio State player to start all 29 regular seasons games. Liddell's 2.6 blocks per game lead the Big Ten, and he also averages 2.6 assists per night.
A first-time captain this season, Liddell scored at least double-digit points in every game during the regular season, and has now achieved that feat in 40 straight contests dating back to last season.
One of five finalists for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award, Liddell was also named to the Naismith Men's College Player of the Year Midseason Team.
Liddell was honored on Senior Day at the Schottenstein Center and intends to enter the NBA draft at the conclusion of the season.
The only other Buckeye to make an All-Big Ten team was Malaki Branham, who was also named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Justin Ahrens was named Ohio State's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree.
