On Jan. 27, Ohio State smashed Iowa 82-65 in Value City Arena in the lone meeting between the two teams this year. Four Buckeyes reached double figures in that game, which saw the Scarlet and Gray take control with an 11-1 run to start the second half.
Following Saturday's loss to Indiana, the Buckeyes will likely need multiple wins in the Big Ten Tournament to make their first NCAA Tournament in three years. Iowa will present an opportunity to earn a Quad 2 win in the first round with Quad 1 opportunities looming in the second round and quarterfinals should Ohio State make it that far.
The winner between the Buckeyes and Hawkeyes will play seventh-seeded Illinois in the second round of the Big Ten Tourney on Thursday. Ohio State lost to the Fighting Illini on the road earlier this year by an 87-79 scoreline. The winner of that game will face second-seeded Maryland in the quarterfinals on Friday.
Ohio State and Iowa will square off at approximately 6 p.m. on Peacock Wednesday, or more specifically, 25 minutes after the 3:30 p.m. game before theirs ends in Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
