The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

ALL SYSTEMS GO

Though he spent much of the evening publicly recruiting four-star safety Bubba Bolden, Bishop Gorman quarterback Tate Martell also announced on Tuesday night that he will return to campus for his official visit on Nov. 5.

Outside of The Game against Michigan, the prime time matchup with the Cornhuskers will be one of Ohio State's premier recruiting weekends. And instead of having to impress the second-ranked dual-threat quarterback, he'll be on campus to help pitch the program to other top recruits.

PENNSYLVANIA'S BEST

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, five-star defensive end Micah Parsons took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to announce that he received an offer from Ohio State.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Parsons is considered the best player in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 5 overall prospect in the Class of 2018. He committed to Penn State back in February, but schools like LSU, Tennessee and Michigan have all offered in the last week.

Parsons recently told PennLive.com he remains committed to the Nittany Lions, but plans to take as many visits as he can before making a decision.

PHILADELPHIA, BORN AND RAISED

Within the hour, Ohio State also offered Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Imhotep safety Isheem Young.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder is considered the fourth-best player in the state and the No. 6 overall safety in the 2018 class. He holds nearly 20 offers from top programs like Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

Young was set to transfer to Bradenton, Florida, IMG Academy this summer to play out the final two years of his high school career, but decided against it to remain closer to his family.

TURNING TIDE?

After committing to Alabama in March, Dodge City (Kansas) Community College linebacker Gary Johnson said he couldn't see himself playing for anyone but the Crimson Tide. The 2017 prospect has seemingly backed off that stance, however, as he'll take an official visit to Ohio State this fall.

“Me and coach [Luke] Fickell talked [last night],” Johnson told 247Sports ($). “I've got to check my bye week and get a date [to visit]. I just have to pick when.”

Johnson, who is originally from Birmingham, Alabama, has more than 20 offers from schools like Arizona State, LSU, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss — all of which he's also considering for official visits.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder recorded 133 tackles, 8.5 sacks, four interceptions and four forced fumbles in leading the Conquistadors to the NJCAA Salt City Bowl last season.

PLATFORM FOR SUCCESS

Having graduated with a high school class of only 94, I know what it's like to feel as if nobody knows your small town exists. That's why I'd like to shine some spotlight today on New Castle, Pennsylvania, Union Area free safety Tre'von Charles.

For every five-star recruit that finds himself on the cover of a magazine or national television every week, there are thousands of kids who dream of being offered a chance to play college football. Charles, a close friend of Ohio State cornerback Malik Hooker, is just one of those kids.

“I'm an all-around humble athlete just trying to go and do something with my life,” he told Eleven Warriors.

Charles' high school team has had a rough start to the season, which makes it even less likely he'll garner any national attention. But just watching his highlights, it's hard to believe the 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior doesn't have a single offer.

While Charles acknowledged attending college camps will help him get the most exposure, I hope this simple interview brings him some well-deserved publicity.
