When Chaparral (Az.) fell to Pinnacle last Friday by a 23-7 score, the Firebirds did so without starting quarterback Jack Miller. Thursday, it was confirmed that they'll have to play without their signal caller for the remainder of the season.
Miller, a 2020 Ohio State commit who's thrown for 2,431 yards this season, tweeted Thursday that his junior year had come to an end thanks to a knee injury he suffered on Oct. 12 against Mountain Pointe.
"This has been an unforgettable season with my teammates but due to my knee injury my doctor will not clear me to return to the field, I’m recovering great and I will be back better! My boys got this!," Miller tweeted.

AZcentral.com initially reported that Chaparral hoped to have Miller back by the start of Arizona's 6A playoffs, which would've been Nov. 2.
Miller becomes the third Buckeye commit to end his season early via injury. DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.) safety Ronnie Hickman announced the end of his season this past Sunday while IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) Lejond Cavazos did the same on Oct. 11.
Hickman is a 2019 commit while Miller and Cavazos are in the class of 2020.
