We rarely hear anything from J.T. Tuimoloau and his camp.
On Thursday night, however, we got a pretty big update from the five-star defensive end.
Tuimoloau released a top-seven list that features Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and Washington.

Tuimoloau is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound standout from Eastside Catholic (Washington) High School, the same school where he and Ohio State receiver Gee Scott Jr. won two consecutive state championships in 2018 and 2019.
This is the first major on-record recruiting update for Tuimoloau, the No. 2 overall player and No. 2 strongside defensive end in America, in quite some time, as he is an intensely private prospect who keeps things close to the chest.
Ohio State is considered the leader right now in his recruitment, but 247Sports' Brandon Huffman has reported multiple times that Tuimoloau is willing to be as patient as possible before making a college commitment. He is planning on playing football in the spring, as Washington has pushed high school football back to February-March, and he does not plan on enrolling early. He may not make a decision until National Signing Day in February.
Tuimoloau is the Buckeyes' top target left in the 2021 cycle and is a player that would make an already top-tier recruiting class even more impressive. Ohio State already has five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer – the No. 3 overall player and No. 3 strongside defensive end in the class – in the fold, in addition to top-55 overall player and the No. 4 defensive tackle in Mike Hall, plus the No. 10 defensive tackle in America in Tyleik Williams.
