When 2023 offensive lineman Brycen Sanders returned home to Tennessee after visiting Columbus for the Penn State game, he couldn’t help but reflect on what he believed to be an impressive weekend.
“I loved it,” the four-star offensive lineman told Eleven Warriors. “It was super busy and amazing. I loved that I got to go up there with my parents. I really loved everything about it. The atmosphere was crazy, that’s probably the biggest stadium I’ve been to. The fans were crazy, the energy was crazy, I loved the atmosphere.”
While on his visit, Sanders talked with OSU offensive line coach Greg Studrawa, running backs coach Tony Alford, offensive assistant Reilly Jeffers and offensive line graduate assistant Kennedy Cook.
“All four of them mainly just told me they like what I’ve been putting on film so far this year and how I’ve been playing,” Sanders said. “I’ve put on some weight and continue to grow. They just want to continue to get me up to Columbus so I can see games and they want to continue to talk to me individually.”
Last weekend was Sanders’ second visit to Columbus after he camped with OSU in mid-June, although the 6-foot-5, 280-pound lineman does not hold an OSU offer. He has not been told when one might be extended, but he hopes to have that conversation in the coming months. Sanders, ranked as the 285th-best prospect in 2023 and the 17th-best offensive lineman per 247Sports’ composite rankings, said he talks to Alford and Studrawa once a week, and sometimes more frequently than that.

“We haven’t talked about (an offer) specifically, but I’m sure after my season and their season we’ll get into that a lot more,” Sanders said.
Although 247Sports lists Sanders as an interior offensive lineman, Ohio State has not pigeonholed him into an interior lineman, and is weighing how his versatility might play at the collegiate level.
“I was talking to coach Stud about it, and he really likes how I can play inside and outside at my high school right now, I’m playing both guard and tackle,” Sanders said. “They’re not really recruiting me for just one position, because I can play any of them.”
Currently, Sanders holds 15 Division I offers, a list that includes a bunch of SEC schools such as Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Ole Miss. While Sanders grew up watching the SEC consistently, an Ohio State offer would jump to near the top of his list.
“They’re super high,” Sanders said. “If I got an offer from them, it would be one of my top ones … They’re one of the best programs in the country. They continue to win each and every year and play at a high level. They have one of the best facilities in the country and one of the best fanbases and stadiums. Everything is top of the line.”
Sanders hopes to return to Columbus in the spring and said he’d consider using one of his five official visits on the Buckeyes. His commitment may come before the summer of 2022 is out.
“Not rushing anything right now, but I’d like to commit next summer after my officials and before the start of my senior season,” he said.
Kasper picks up OSU offer
Ohio State made an offer to a four-star wide receiver from the West Coast Thursday afternoon. Kyler Kasper, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound wideout from Arizona, announced his offer on Thursday on social media.
After an awesome conversation with @brianhartline I am extremely excited to have received an offer from The Ohio State University @OhioStateFB @ryandaytime @Rivals @247Sports @KEVINKASPER1 @WFFootballTeam @WFCoachCampbell pic.twitter.com/h1zRp3V1nb

Kasper, ranked as the No. 141 overall prospect and the 21st-best wideout in the 2023 class, is the sixth wide receiver prospect the Buckeyes have offered in the cycle. He has 18 Division I offers to this point, a list that includes USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Arizona, Arizona State and Iowa. If the Buckeyes land Kasper, it would give them back-to-back classes getting a wide receiver commit from Arizona, with Kyion Grayes already in the fold for 2022. Kyler is the son of former NFL wide receiver Kevin Kasper, who played collegiately at Iowa.
Greene enjoys visit to OSU
One of Ohio State’s top priority targets in the class of 2022, offensive lineman Earnest Greene, came away impressed from his game day visit to Columbus, the California lineman told 247Sports this week.
“I had a great time, I really liked it there,” Greene told 247Sports. “The biggest thing for me was seeing the game atmosphere. On my visit in June, I had a chance to see a lot of the campus and talked with the coaches but I wanted to see what the school was like on a game weekend and it was an incredible atmosphere.”
Greene previously visited Ohio State in June when he camped with the team. He’s visited Texas and Georgia this fall and an Alabama visit could be coming later. Greene is rated as the 47th-best player and the second-best interior offensive lineman in the class of 2022.
OSU has three offensive line commitments in the current cycle: George Fitzpatrick, Avery Henry and Tegra Tshabola. Ohio State would like to take four lineman in 2022. Greene, along with four-star offensive lineman Carson Hinzman, is one of the Buckeyes’ primary targets they’d like to wrap up the 2022 class with.
