Ohio State will find out less than 16 hours before the early signing period if it will land its most coveted 2022 defensive line target.
Four-star Indiana standout Caden Curry will announce his commitment at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Center Grove High School (Greenwood, Indiana) gym.

While Alabama has made a late push for Curry, the 88th-best player and the 14th-best defensive lineman in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings for the class of 2022, Ohio State looks like the frontrunner to land Curry. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman, who could play inside or outside at the next level, visited Columbus multiple times this fall for the home opener against Oregon in September and the contest against Penn State on Oct. 30.
When Curry visited Ohio State in September, he sat down with former five-star defensive linemen J.T. Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer. The pair quickly gave a pitch to Curry on what it was like playing for the Buckeyes.
“They just told me about it and how they fit in," Curry told Eleven Warriors in October. "They told me if I went there it would definitely be us three, honestly seeing that it would fit perfectly well. It was cool. Honestly just seeing that day-to-day basis from them after they’ve been there a few months is helpful.”
Curry led Center Grove to back-to-back Indiana Class 6A state championships his junior and senior seasons, finishing both years undefeated with a 28-0 combined record. Curry finished this past season with 65 total tackles (24 for loss) and seven sacks and deflected seven passes at the line of scrimmage. In his junior year, Curry racked up 61 tackles (21.5 for loss), eight sacks, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery.
Texas visits Brooks
According to 247Sports, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and other Texas head coaches made an in-home visit to Ohio State 2022 four-star cornerback commit and Texas resident Terrance Brooks on Thursday evening. The report cites a source that feels Brooks’ decision is 50-50 at the moment whether he will honor his commitment to Ohio State or flip to Texas.
Brooks is ranked as the No. 59 overall prospect and the eighth-best cornerback in the 2022 cycle. The Texas standout committed to Ohio State on June 30.
Outside of that report, there haven’t been any indications that Brooks won’t sign his National Letter of Intent with the Buckeyes on Wednesday. Ohio State assistant coach Kerry Coombs visited Brooks on Nov. 29 at Little Elm High School (Little Elm, Texas), and Little Elm head coach Kendrick Brown told 247Sports Brooks is “100 percent locked and loaded for Ohio State.”
Fitzpatrick wins third state title
Winning is becoming all too common for 2022 four-star Ohio State offensive lineman commitment George Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick helped Cherry Creek High School (Greenwood Village, Colorado) win its third straight state championship last week, defeating Valor Christian, 21-0. The victory marked the 12th title in school history.
“It’s incredible. This feeling is unmatchable,” Fitzpatrick told the Colorado High School Activities Association after the win. “I’m just so proud of my guys. They played so hard. Everyone did their job. We worked so hard this summer and this week in preparation. It’s just a dream come true and I couldn’t be happier.”
Over the last three seasons, Fitzpatrick helped his team to a 35-2 record. Cherry Creek finished the season 12-2 and went undefeated in the previous two seasons.
Welcome to winter, Devin Brown
One of Ohio State’s 2022 commitments is apparently getting a taste of what life in the Midwest is going to be like in the later months of the year. Four-star quarterback Devin Brown posted a photo of his truck covered in snow Friday afternoon, asking his followers for driving advice since it will apparently be the first time the West Coast native has driven in snow.
Woke up to this funny white stuff on my truck. First time for this AZ native driving in snow. Any pointers? pic.twitter.com/6RTEzZkZ4O

His soon-to-be teammate, 2022 four-star tight end Bennett Christian, had some sage advice for Brown.
Don’t crash

Considering Christian is from Georgia, he likely doesn’t have much experience driving in the snow either, but it was good advice nonetheless.
