The positive vibes continued for Ohio State recruiting on Tuesday.

One day after landing a surprise commitment from five-star safety Blaine Bradford, five-sar wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. put a lot of Ohio State fans at ease. The California standout announced he's shutting down his recruitment and will be locked in with Ohio State going forward.

Henry was scheduled to take official visits to Oregon, USC and Miami, with the Ducks in particular coming hard after Henry within the past few months. He'll now only take an official visit to Columbus this summer.

The No. 9 overall prospect in the 2026 class, Henry committed to Ohio State early in his recruitment process and has maintained that he plans on being a Buckeye and everything else recruiting-related is simply due diligence.

“I'm always locked in,” Henry said of his Ohio State commitment last summer. “I'm just still enjoying the process of just being a recruit, because this is only happening one time. So, you know, I'm still going to just enjoy it. The other schools, I tell them, like, 'Yeah, it's going to be really hard to try and get me to flip, because it's Ohio State.' This is where I want to be.”

Henry backed those words up on Tuesday and now figures to be one of the main peer recruiters for the 2026 class, similar to what Devin Sanchez was for the 2025 class before him.
