After Dontre Wilson broke his foot against Michigan State Saturday night, redshirt freshman Jalin Marshall is now officially Ohio State's staring H-back and primary return man, according to the team's weekly depth chart.
With Wilson potentially out until the bowl season, sources told Eleven Warriors, Marshall — who's started to build momentum in recent weeks — will have a chance to assert himself on an offense that dropped 49 points and 568 yards of offense on a vaunted Spartan defense.
Notes:
- With Marshall's elevation on special teams, senior wide receiver Evan Spencer is listed as his backup at kick returner.
- Marshall is the team's sole punt returner.
- Freshman Noah Brown is listed as the backup at H-back.
- Armani Reeves remains the team's primary option at nickel despite an ongoing saga regarding his status. Reeves hasn't played since Ohio State's win agains Penn State Oct. 25. The coaching staff has to declined to shed light on his situation
