UPDATE (10:30 a.m.): Oh, boy. Here's the Minnesota Vikings' director of communications moments ago on Twitter:
Re: heated benches story, Gophers contacted Vikings equipment staff & asked to use benches for visiting team. We agreed.

Bet Chad Pearson wishes he had that tweet back.
It's going to be a cold one in Minneapolis on Saturday, and the Buckeyes will want to stay warm one way or another.
The Minnesota Vikings, who are in the process of building an opulent palace to replace the dilapidated hut that was the MetroDome, are playing games at the University Minnesota's TCF Bank stadium in the meantime. And seeing as the Vikings will be in Chicago this weekend, they have no need for their sideline heating equipment. It would an arrangement that makes sense.
So, it appears Ohio State approached the Vikings about borrowing the equipment for Saturday's game, probably for a small fee, and the Vikings (at least for now) have acquiesced.
This doesn't seem to please Minnesota's Strength and Conditioning coach, Chad Pearson:
I'm hearing a local NFL team is letting our opponent borrow their sideline-heating equipment for the game. Dislike.

That's (almost) literally cold-blooded, Coach Pearson.
